2005 Indoor Season Opportunities

for Arizona JOADs

What should Arizona JOADs be doing for the 2005 Indoor Season?

The next step is to join the NAA and get your own equipment.

Equipment can be purchased new, used or borrowed for a long term.

Practice with you equipment.  Practice every other day is a good goal.

 

Tournaments:

Arizona JOADs have an unusually large number of tournaments to a take part in January, February and March, 2005.

Note that it is common for first timers to win awards in many of these events.

 

Jan 14-16, 2005 US World Indoor Trials, Hillsboro Texas. 

This tourney selects Junior Division JOAD for the World Indoor Championship to be held in March in Demark.

Jan 22, 2005 Arizona JOAD Indoor Championship, PSE Tucson.

This tournament State JOAD Indoor Championship.  600 round (60 arrows at 18 meters)

Many first timers win awards.

Jan 29-30, 2005 Arizona State Indoor Championship, PSE Tucson.

This State Indoor Championship presents JOAD awards. 1200 round (2-60 arrows at 18 meters over two days)

Similar to JOAD Indoor Championship, many JOAD first timer win awards.

February 5, 2005 Super Saturday, Straight N Arrow Archery, Phoenix.

This is a Vegas Style Tournament and great preparation for the AZJOAD Team Vegas Shootout.  600 round (2-30 arrow rounds at 18 meters)

Prize money if offered but the main JOAD purpose of the tournament is to gain Vegas style tournament experience.

February 12, 2005, Pre Vegas 300 Tournament, PSE Tucson.

This is a Vegas Style Tournament and great preparation for the AZJOAD Team Vegas Shootout.  300 round (30 arrow rounds at 18 meters)

February 24-27, 2005, World Archery Festival, Las Vegas, NV.

This is the favorite tournament for AZJOADs!  (Youth 600, 2-30 arrow rounds, Adults 900, 3-30 arrow rounds at 18 meters)

It is also the AZJOAD Vegas Team Shootout.

February 25-27, 2005, NAA Indoor Championship, Tulare, CA.

The Indoor National Championship are held Regionally across the country.

The National JOAD Championship takes place on Friday.  600 round (2-30 arrow rounds at 18 meters)

The National Indoor Championship takes place on Saturday and Sunday. 1200 round (2-60 arrow rounds at 18 meters)

March 4-6, 2005  NAA Indoor Championship, Salt Lake City, UT

The Indoor National Championship are held Regionally across the country.

The National Indoor Championship 1200 takes place on Saturday and Sunday. 1200 round (2-60 arrow rounds at 18 meters)

The ABFAA Indoor Championship will take place in March at Straight N Arrow Archery, Phoenix.

The Arizona Bowhunter and Field Archery Association is the State component of the National Field Archery Association, NFAA

The ABFAA Indoor utilized a 2 color five spot target.

The NFAA is the organization that hosts the Vegas tournament.

Late March is the beginning of the Outdoor Season.
