adam Wheatcroft Memorial Benefit

Indoor 600

Dec. 7, 2003

Archery Headquarters

Chandler, Arizona

The Adam Wheatcroft Memorial Benefit Indoor 600 was held in his honor.  Fourteen AZJOAD and friends of JOAD competed at Archery Headquarters in Chandler, Arizona.  JOADs, Seniors and Masters all gained valuable experience at this event that raised two hundred dollars for the James Madison University archery program.  This donation is being made per the wishes of the Adam Wheatcroft family to support JMU’s archery program and to recognize Adams’ achievements in target archery.

The event was a great opportunity for three barebow enthusiasts to compete in the 4th World Internet Indoor Archery Championship for Barebow.

Set up began at 7:30 AM

Two lines were shot on the range’s 8 lanes.

Practice began just before 8:00 AM

Shooting for score began at 8:30 AM

First 300 was finished at 9: 45 AM

Second 300 began at 10:00 AM and ended at 11: 20 AM

All competed in a one arrow shoot off elimination round immediately following scoring.

·         Brandon Hunt won the bragging rights.

The equipment was taken down and all were gone by 12 noon.

A special thanks is extended to Colt, Dennis, and Randy for opening Archery Headquarters on a normally closed Sunday morning for this event.
